The most exciting game of round 4 in the Liga Mayor took place in Santa Tecla. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 4th rankedL.M.Mons. (2-3) to seventh ranked Santa Tecla (1-3) 76-73 on Tuesday evening. Santa Tecla looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Ecuadorian point guard Leyda Macias (165-1983) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard Melany Sanchez (167-2004) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Dominican swingman Yenifer Jimenez (163-1999) replied with a double-double by scoring 26 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and Monica Calderon (175-1991) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for L.M.Mons.Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Santa Tecla left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with Ahuachapan. L.M.Mons. at the other side keeps the fourth position with three games lost.
